Gayelene Clews has been immersed in elite sports for a lifetime. She is a former Swimmer, Runner, World Champion Triathlete and now accomplished Olympic Sport-Psychologist. In this interview, Gayelene shares how all experiences throughout her journey became a pathway toward a career that continues to inspire, encourage and help other elite athletes across multiple sports attain their dreams.
...so what I've decided to do is start to take 30 years of the knowledge I have and share that with parents, teachers and coaches to give them the inside tips of what it actually takes to help build and support and make a supreme athlete.
On the crossroads of retirement she put pen to paper writing an article that was later published in Triathlon Magazine (USA) called "The Pain of Letting Go". In 2015, Gayelene authored and published "Wired to Play", a ground breaking book which tackles athlete mental health head on. www.wiredtoplay.com
